Travolta Tragedy, Outing Celebrities- a Commentary

Friday, we all read the headlines about the death of Jett Travolta.As with all celebrity stories, it was only a matter of time before someone, somewhere, began to go after this family in mourning. Gawker.com ran a report alleging that John Travolta's rumored gay lover, Jeff Katherin, was first hired to be Jett's nanny. They put their emphasis on GAY LOVER. It is an unfortunate reality that the paparazzi tend to have this obsession with trying to out any and every gay or lesbian celebrity in the country, most often to sell papers.

What about the Gaza Gays?

On Christmas Day a new war began between Israel and Hamas and 2008 quite literally ended with a bang as the Israel's Defense Forces pounded Hamas positions in Gaza. Hamas has launched thousands of rockets into Israel, and killed innocent men, women and children. This is what Israel says this war started over. Right now thousands of Israeli troops backed by tanks and helicopter gun ships are surrounding Gaza's largest city. But With all the news about this new war I had to wonder what effect it is all having on our Gay Palestinian Bothers and Sisters.
